Instagram buzz in the North East

An influx of innovative organisations, creative stalls and a guest speaker were all combined at the latest Instagram event in Durham.

A variety of creators from various blogging tribes were able to engage with one another (one of the very few social opportunities where building up that follower count can be slipped into casual conversation).

The Grammers, AKA – Suzanne, Jackie, and Emma are the three women behind Ramside Hall being transformed into a North East networking event.

Emma explained:

“We felt that there was a lack of Instagram buzz in the region compared with other areas of the UK. We wanted to bring like-minded people together to build a support network, motivate, inspire, collaborate and grow.”

The event played host to two charities: Grace House and Smart Works. Grace House who provides short breaks and respite care for children and young people, raised £365.65 on the night.

Whilst Smart Works Newcastle, who support local women on their journey back to work by providing coaching and suitable outfits for job interviews, definitely chose the ideal event to attend. A room full of women that could confess to hoarding clothes that no longer needed a place within their wardrobes.

Guest speaker HelenLee, stylist and creator of Style Code, took centre stage to explain her personal journey and career development before demonstrating the importance of building a capsule wardrobe on three former clients.  The rule of ‘buying for YOUR wardrobe’ opposed to making a multitude of impulsive purchases being the shopping mantra that all shopaholics needed to hear.

The next event will be a how to guide on improving Instagram platforms by a panel of guest speakers, held on the 26/03/20 at Ramside Hall.

Will you be attending?
